I’m sittin’ here on the fourth day of a brand new year, thinkin’ about my songwriting, and where I’m headed with it. My hope of having commercial success has never been higher, and the frequency of my songs being taken by publishers continues to increase.
Right now I have no less than four different Nashville publishers who have taken copies of four of my songs. I WANT TO, THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKIN’ ABOUT, A FARMER’S WIFE, and KEEP KEEPIN’ ON are all being considered and/or pitched to artist’s camps. Three of the artists are big. One of them is huge.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, there are no guarantees in this pursuit I’m on, but my determination has never been stronger. I am doing what I am supposed to do, and I believe my songs can compete and win.
It’s a new year, 2017, and I am closer than I have ever been…
